South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has reportedly started to push the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system to the Galaxy Note SHV-E160S smartphones in its homeland market.

Available for download as build JZO54K, the new software update provides users with appealing new features as part of the OS, as well as with a series of enhancements coming from Samsung themselves, including the new Nature UX interface.

Following the update, users will be able to take advantage of the much praised Multi-View feature that is already available on Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II devices, as well as of a new Notification Panel, which allows for various customizations.

Additionally, Jelly Bean provides users with the Google Now feature, a new Notifications bar, and two new home screen models, in addition to bringing to devices some widgets that were previously available for Galaxy S III users.

Galaxy Note owners in South Korea will also enjoy new options in the Notification Panel, the possibility to disable the aforementioned Multi-View option, and access to Samsung’s Cloud services.

Other enhancements delivered as part of this update include:

- Buttery Smooth Performance & Great Stability (Thanks to Project Butter) - Multi-View (Multi Windows Multitasking, same as in Note II) - Page Buddy - Smart Rotation (Screen Display adjusts to your angle of sightings) - Continues Input in Samsung Keyboard (Like Swipe or Android 4.2 Keyboard) - Features like Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop-up Play

As SamMobile notes in a recent post, the update is available for download for Galaxy Note owners both over-the-air and through the Samsung Kies desktop application.

There’s no telling on how long it will take for the phone maker to deliver the software upgrade to all Galaxy Note users in South Korea, though the deployment process should be completed in a matter of days, weeks at the most.
