Bad news for Xperia S owners, as Sony seems to have delayed the long-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

We reported earlier this month about Sony Germany’s claims that Jelly Bean for Xperia S will arrive “in a few days,” but it looks like the information provided by the company’s PR people was inaccurate.

Those who are still waiting for the upgrade to arrive on their Xperia S handsets will be disappointed to hear that Sony postponed the Jelly Bean update for next month.

The folks over at XperiaBlog managed to get their hands on a French carrier’s internal document which confirms Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Xperia S is due in May.

According to SFR, owners of Sony Xperia S will receive an Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update beginning next month. Unfortunately, the leaked document does not mention exactly when it will be pushed live. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
