Owners of a Kyocera Torque smartphone on the network of wireless carrier Sprint will be able to download and install a new operating system flavor starting with July 5, namely the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS.

The mobile phone carrier has already announced the availability of the update starting with the aforementioned date, and has also confirmed some of the features that will be delivered to users as part of it.

Thus, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will be accompanied by international calling capabilities, email syncing features, enhancements to sleep mode, and power cycle ability, it seems.

Following the update, the Kyocera Torque should prove a bit faster than before, courtesy of Project Butter. The OS upgrade will likely hit all devices in a matter of days, but stay tuned for more details on the matter.
