Carrier-bounded Samsung Galaxy S III owners already got their Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates a few days ago, and now it looks like the South Korean company turned its attention to unlocked Galaxy S III owners.

Slashgear reports the Jelly Bean update for unlocked Galaxy S III handsets is now live in the UK. We can also confirm the upgrade can now be downloaded in Romania as well.

The update is about 285 MB in size and is rolled out OTA (over the air), probably in most European countries where unlocked Galaxy S III units have yet to receive Jelly Bean.

We recommend Europeans who own Galaxy S III smartphones purchased directly from Samsung to check for the update by going to Menu / Settings / About phone / Software update / Update.
