Although TELUS recently confirmed the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for Samsung Galaxy S II X as being available beginning June 12, it appears that the update has just popped-up in Kies.

According to MobileSyrup, Galaxy S II X owners can now upgrade their devices to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich via Samsung Kies desktop software.

However, this doesn’t seem to be the latest version of the build, so you might want to wait until TELUS makes it official. Several users who tried to upgrade their phones to Ice Cream Sandwich got stuck on the splash screen after the installation process finished.

Fortunately, a factory reset might solve this problem, but we’re still not sure whether this is the latest version of Android 4.0 ICS for Samsung Galaxy S II X. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
