Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is reportedly getting closer and closer to the release of an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich software update for its LG Spectrum users.

No official confirmation on when the update might land on the smartphone has been provided for the time being, but it appears that all should go down very soon.

In a post on LG’s support website, a company’s employee noted that they were waiting for Verizon to set the release schedule.

Basically, this means that the update is ready to arrive on devices, and that Verizon might make an official announcement on the matter any day now.

“It's getting very close...can't wait to get the official word to post it! I think we're just waiting on Verizon to set a FOTA schedule,” LG’s employee said.
