HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XE too will taste it next month

Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has just announced plans to start rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system on its Sensation devices at the end of next month.

The handset vendor will start deploying the new OS flavor on HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XE as soon as next month, and will continue with the Sensation XL soon afterwards. Moreover, HTC aims at releasing Android 4.0 for other devices too in the following months.

Previously, the mobile phone maker confirmed plans to deliver the new software update to its devices, but did not offer a specific release date for it.

Today, however, it unveiled all on the matter via its Facebook page. HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XE owners should rejoice, as they will be the first to benefit from the new software release.

“HTC has been working hard to get its Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades ready, and we’re excited to announce that our first round of ICS upgrades will roll out by the end of March for the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XE, followed soon thereafter by the HTC Sensation XL,” the handset vendor announced.

In addition to confirming the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Sensation family of devices, HTC announced plans to provide more users with the new OS flavor before the end of this year.

“In addition, we can confirm Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades will be coming later this year to the HTC Rezound, HTC Vivid, HTC Amaze 4G, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Incredible S, HTC Desire S and HTC Desire HD,” HTC announced.
