Sony has just started to push out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system to its Tablet S devices on the market in Canada.

The owners of such a device will receive the necessary files as soon as they connect to WiFi and will be able to upgrade their devices in a few minutes, MobileSyrup notes.

There are appealing enhancements set to arrive on devices in this update, starting with an improved lock screen, which now offers direct access to Notifications and Unlock direct to camera.

The update also brings a new panoramic camera mode, a better Gallery media viewer, new homescreen actions – such as the possibility to drag icons together to create folders – and the possibility to access files directly from the SD card.

The web browser has received improvements as well. Moreover, the device now supports native screenshot capturing (through pressing the “Power” and “Volume” buttons at the same time).
