It appears that Ice Cream Sandwich for HTC Sensation XL is reportedly rolling out worldwide. At first there have been several reports coming from European owners, but it looks like the update has been made available in other regions as well.

Android 4.0 ICS for HTC Sensation XL is now available for download OTA (over the air), so we recommend users to connect to a reliable Wi-Fi network to avoid mobile data charges.

So far, there have been reports coming from Romania, Lebanon, Pakistan and the UK (Vodafone and Three carriers).

However, some users in this region might not receive the update right away due to the fact that HTC is pushing it in waves, so we recommend checking for it manually from time to time.

The information makes sense as the Taiwanese company has recently refreshed its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade roadmap with new release dates.

HTC Sensation XL is confirmed for an Ice Cream Sandwich update in April / June. Even though the timeframe is rather large, it’s better to get the update later than never.

Android fans who own an HTC device, other than the Sensation XL, and wish to know when they might receive the hotly anticipated Android 4.0 ICS update should check the information below:

- HTC Velocity 4G, HTC Vivid, HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XE and HTC Sensation 4G in March / June; - HTC Amaze 4G and HTC EVO 4G+ in May / June; - HTC Desire S, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Incredible S, HTC Rezound and HTC Rhyme in June / July; - HTC Desire HD and HTC Thunderbolt in July / August.

The following HTC smartphone will stay on their current Android versions, so they won’t receive an official Android 4.0 ICS update: HTC ChaCha, HTC Wildfire S, HTC Explorer and HTC Salsa. HTC Flyer, HTC EVO View 4G and HTC Jetstream tablets won’t be getting the update.
