After Taiwan, the US seems to be the second country that will welcome Asus’ Ice Cream Sandwich update for the original Transformer TF101 tablet.

According to the company’s official Twitter feed, the new ICS firmware is scheduled to arrive to TF101 slates in the US and Canada later today, February 24.

Asus hasn’t said how long it will take for the update to reach every TF101 tablet out there, but as long as you have an active Internet connection the new software will automatically arrive over the air.

Right now, the ICS update is only available for the Wi-Fi version of the slate, so those of you who went for the 3G model still have some time to wait until Asus’ Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich port is ready.
