We already know that Motorola Mobility plans to release an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the DROID 4 sometime in Q3 2012.

Although the company did not mention an exact launch date for the ICS update, it appears that Motorola is about to start a soak test for the said smartphone.

The folks over at Droid-Life have been tipped on an upcoming soak test for Motorola DROID 4, which is about to begin in the next couple of days.

There are no additional details on the new software update soak test, so we're not quite sure that this is indeed the long awaited Android 4.0 update.

However, given the fact that Motorola promised ICS for DROID 4 will arrive in Q3, it's likely the the Android 4.0 soak test will begin soon. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
