If you have been dying to get Android 4.0 working on your Kindle Fire, here’s your chance: a developer has now made public the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) port for Amazon’s 7-inch tablet.

The port is still an early development version, but users report that it runs pretty nicely and more and more bugs are squashed every minute.

This includes the SD card bug that you are warned about right in the beginning of the video above, so you can now access the tablet’s entire storage without any issues.

Audio and video however aren’t fully functional yet, but everybody interested can grab the source code for this Android 4.0 port from the XDA-Developers Forums.

Detailed install instructions are also available in the same thread, so if you are felling adventurous go ahead and try this on your Fire.
