TELUS confirmed that customers who purchased the Samsung Galaxy S II X would be able to upgrade their smartphones to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich sometime in 2012.

However, it appears that the carrier has just changed the status of the update from “Available 2012” to “Coming Soon,” which might suggest that Galaxy S II X will receive the upgrade by the end of the month.

The folks at MobileSyrup have been tipped off on the recent change, but there’s no telling when exactly TELUS updated the status on its site.

In the same piece of news, a leaked document from Bell Canada also confirms the upcoming availability of the update for this month, though no specific release date is given.

It’s likely that both carriers will be able to deliver the promised upgrade by the end of April, so stay tuned for more updates on the subject.
