Android 2.3 Gingerbread User Guide Available for Download

On Monday, Mountain View-based Internet giant Google announced officially the release of its new Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system flavor, set to land on the market in the US on December 16th on the new Nexus S by Samsung.

The new platform comes with a wide range of novelties included into the mix, which should offer a great experience to all users out there.

Of course, the new mobile phone is also set to impress a lot of people, something that Nexus One, the first “pure Google” superphone did as well, but the platform is another thing that should appeal a lot to users.

One of the most common ways in which people can get in touch with the operating system is the user manual, which was already made available for download over at Google.

The guide can be downloaded in the form of a PDF file, available via this link. The manual includes a total of 373 pages.

The guide should offer answers to most of the questions that users might have in regard with the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

What the guide won't say is when existing Android devices would be set to receive an update to the new operating system flavor.

As it always happens with this king of things, the development of a software update for existing devices takes some time.

One of the phones that should taste it in the near future would be the Nexus One, which, according to Google, is slated to receive the software solution sometime in the coming weeks.

Until more specific info on this is unveiled, you can take a look at the Gingerbread user manual to learn more on the new mobile OS flavor, while waiting for Nexus S to bring the platform to shelves in less than 10 days from now.

Nexus S by Samsung was also announced to be on its way to the UK market starting with December 20th, via Best Buy and Carphone Warehouse.
