HTC Desire S devices in the UK are reportedly receiving an update to the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system flavor from Google, with the HTC Sense 3.0 user interface included into the mix.

Apparently, the software update is being released to all unlocked Desire S devices in the UK, as well as for those available via wireless carriers like Vodafone, O2 and Orange.

Nothing was officially announced on the matter, but many users have been reporting successful installations of the new OS for their devices.

As stated above, the upgrade will provide users with all of the features and benefits that the Sense 3.0 UI from HTC has to offer, and will also add some enhancements coming from Google themselves.

The update is said to be sent over the air, which means that users will simply have to wait for the notification to be sent out to their devices. However, they can also perform manual checks through going to Settings > About phone > System update.
