The acclaimed Guitar Hero reached the third edition and it seems that the new one is going to rock your house even harder. Of course, I can't help noticing that rock and metal are conquering so much of the gamers' preferences and after playing like hell for a couple of hours I must admit that GH is fun...especially when you're with your band mates and are struggling to do your best to be The Rockstar in the game only to end up failing miserably (that's what happened to me and my friends).

Even more than being a popular game among those who like to
rock and thrash, it seems that its success reaches new peaks of interest from most serious manufacturers in the pro-grade sound equipment industry. I was most surprised to see that Mackie have manifested such dramatic interest in Guitar Hero III...up to the point where Mackie has become the official sound reinforcement partner of the game.

Will the in-game Mackie give you extra-nerve?

Now, don't you expect a huge Mackie guitar rig or PA coming with your new Guitar Hero III: it's all about the glamour in the game! As specified in an official Mackie statement, each of the stages and venues accessible in GH III will run on Mackie gear, from PA to floor wedge monitors. Basically, you'll be constantly playing on Mackie-enforced stages, all sporting Mackie Active speakers, adding to the overall drama of the gig. The featured speakers will be SA series, SR Series and SRM 450 for floor units.

As declared by Mackie officials, the game and a Mackie PA system will travel through 10 cities and will make 40 different tour stops where expert players will compete to win their city's resident Guitar Hero status, all on a real GH-ready stage, this time filled with real equipment that will rock you like Iron Maiden themselves would.
