The city of Boston has recently decided to dump Microsoft’s services and go for Google’s, only a few days after the International Space Station announced a transition from Windows to Linux.

And still, Microsoft continues its efforts to prove everyone going away that they’re wrong. A press release rolled out today announces that new companies have made the move to Microsoft’s services because “employees were unhappy with the experience provided by Google Apps.”

Caltex Australia, FHI 360, and Stan Clara County have all selected Microsoft Office 365 “for improvement communication and collaboration after having deployed or piloted Google Apps.”

“Businesses use technology to be competitive and meet the needs of their customers, which is why they can't afford to compromise on a service that was retrofitted for the enterprise,” said Michael Atalla, director of product marketing for Microsoft Office 365.

“With Office 365, Microsoft has combined the familiarity of Office with the capabilities businesses need, delivered as a cloud service they can trust.”
