An Innovative Tablet PC from Acer

Acer officially launched the new TravelMate C200 Tablet PC, with an innovative sliding display mechanism instead of the standard hinge that allows the display to rotate and fold.

The model offers a slot loading DVD burner, a design that Apple offered for years. Additionally, TravelMate C200 is using the Nvidia Go 6200 GPU (graphic processing unit). The Acer MediaBay accommodates hot-swappable drives, and you can choose to populate it with a second battery or hard drive up to 100 GB.

The
tablet comes with 1 GB of DDR2 533 SDRAM, biometric Fingerprint ID and features an optional 4 in 1 card reader, for MultiMediaCard , Secure Digital card, Memory Stick or Memory Stick PRO .

Connectivity is assured by 802.11b/g, WLAN, Gigabit LAN, V.92 Modem and Bluetooth. The display used is a 12.1” one that supports a 1024 x 768 resolution.

Pricing for the Acer TravelMate C200 Tablet PC starts at US$1400.
