I have no idea what's been going on with Amy Wino lately (and by lately I mean over the past few days), but just like in Brit's case, she seems to be getting better. Which is very, very good news - or better said, would be very very good news if we had any guarantee it was going to last. But since we don't and it might not (last, that is) better not get too excited. But there are lots of... let's call them good signs and scattered clues that it might all work out for Amy in the end - and we're all definitely keeping our fingers crossed for her. So, what's Amy been up to lately? Well, believe it or not, the troublesome jazz diva and multiple Grammy winner has hit the town with a new man in tow, and - I know, this may come as a shock - she was on her best behavior, stayed sober and seemed to be having a good time.

So, who's the mystery man? Well, ironically, his name is Blake Wood, and he's an American artist who seems to be the exact opposite of Amy's hubby, who is currently rotting in jail awaiting trial. Unlike Fielder-Civil, the new Blake doesn't drink at all and is a vegetarian. Just what the doctor ordered, then. Apparently, Amy's friend Kelly Osbourne introduced them, and they seem to have hit it off at once - going out last night to two different parties and even reportedly spending quality time together at the Park Plaza hotel in London. I'm not sure what "quality time" may mean as far as Amy Winehouse is concerned, but I really hope she's keeping it on the down low and not jumping into bed with just about anyone.

In any case, I don't think the original Blake will be too happy about Amy's latest exploits, particularly since the singer is looking increasingly happy and healthy these days. You know, when she's clean and the beehive doesn't look like a rat's nest, you can start noticing other things, little details like the fact that Amy looks good in red and that she's got nice boobs. And if I were her drugged-out husband, I would probably be feeling pretty low at the thought that Amy is now relatively drug-free and thinking straight - and not such an easy prey to all his whims and to his lust for control and drug money. So, heads up, Blakey, there's a new Blake in town, and he means business. Hooray!
