Years after her death, Amy Winehouse is still rocking the musical world. According to a piece by The Hollywood Reporter, there is a project in the works that could resurrect the controversial and troubled singer to life on stage as a 3D hologram singing her biggest hits.

The project is being masterminded by a billionaire businessman with a passion for Winehouse by the name of Alki David “The idea is in its early stages, but it’s hoped that Amy’s dad Mitch will maybe join her and do the introductions,” says an insider.

The technology used to achieve this feat would be the same as that used in the Tupac Shakur performance at the Coachella Music Festival in 2012. David was one of the people in attendance at that concert and he was so impressed by what he saw that he bought the rights to the technology.

He is now the owner of a film and hologram company and he's focusing on a Amy Winehouse tour, but before he can channel all his creative efforts into that, he first has to resolve a lawsuit against Circue du Soleil and MGM Resorts for patent infringement.

The entertainment giants reportedly used a hologram in the final scene of “Michael Jackson: One” performance, which is the resident acrobatic production at Mandalay Bay Theater in Las Vegas.
