Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is back in rehab. This time, it’s not a rumor, as her rep has confirmed she’s at London’s The Priory clinic, seeking help for her alcohol problems. Before heading in for treatment, she loaded up on vodka, a new report suggests.

Less than two weeks ago, reports were saying that Amy had checked in some type of rehab facility to get “baby-ready,” because she’d decided it was time she and boyfriend Reg Traviss started a family.

As it turns out, that report was accurate, except for the “getting baby-ready” part: according to her rep, Amy is back in rehab to deal with her alcohol abuse before heading out on an international tour.

The Sun says it has it from very good sources that, before checking herself in, Amy allowed herself one final bender, which culminated with her buying and drinking a bottle of vodka on the way to The Priory.

“Amy Winehouse dropped into a cornershop and necked a bottle of vodka – while on her way to rehab. The bedraggled star downed the miniature of Smirnoff at the counter before checking in for treatment at The Priory,” The Sun writes.

It all happened at the Meadway Food and Wine in Southgate in North London, and the British tab has an eyewitness to confirm the story.

“She seemed out of it. She was stumbling about, slurring her words. I was shocked to see her buy vodka so early in the day, and even more shocked to see her knock it straight back,” says the spy.

Before that, The Sun says, Amy stumbled inside a hair salon, went to the bathroom and vomited all over the place.

As she was leaving, she told the people inside, who still hadn’t recovered from the shock of seeing her come in, that she was sorry for puking all over the bathroom – and them stumbled out.

While reports may suggest that Winehouse is thisclose to hitting rock bottom once more, her rep is downplaying the rehab stay.

“[Amy] has embarked on a treatment program at the Priory Clinic. She wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment. She will remain at the Priory on doctors’ advice,” a statement from her publicist reads.
