Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil turned 26 yesterday - however, his beehived, crack-loving, Grammy-winning wife did not bother to grace her incarcerated better half with her presence, leaving Blaaaaake to entertain himself and find solace in his own jail cell at London's Pentonville prison. Which means one of two things: either Amy has finally seen the light and realized that her husband (who is currently in jail awaiting trial for attempting to pervert the course of justice) is a loser who contributed to her own downfall, or she was simply so drunk or stoned that she forgot about his anniversary.
Amy's own life has become increasingly chaotic ever since her drug habit made a grim comeback. The singer quit rehab and, despite a definite improvement in her looks and overall state of health, started dabbing in drugs again soon after the Grammy awards ceremony. The drugs and booze were back, along with strange, manic-like obsessions, such as the claim that she is "haunted by demons" - which prompted her to move house for the third time in four months. Her behavior towards her husband became equally chaotic: despite proclaiming undying love for her "Blaaaaaaaaaaaake" incarcerated, Amy started missing visitation hours and seeing less of her husband than ever before. Not that anyone is complaining about that part.
Also, Amy's work on her new album was said to be stalling, so much so that the singer was issued an ultimatum by her record label, urging her to get back to work or suffer the consequences. The ultimatum came after Amy canceled an all-expenses-paid trip tot he Bahamas, where she was supposed to start recording sessions for her already highly anticipated third album. "Amy has been reminded of her responsibilities. Unless she is clean she will not be allowed to release another album. They [her record label bosses] would never release her from her deal, they would just not put an album out. She has been warned about her behavior and needs to keep the standards up," a source told British tabloid The Sun. However, it is highly unlikely that Amy spent her husband's birthday hauled up in a recording studio somewhere. Hauled up in a pub - now, that's a much more plausible thought.
