Amy Winehouse has had her fair share of troubles in just 25 years of age, but she’s not out of the woods just yet, from what reports coming from the island of St Lucia are saying. Apparently, the singer collapsed over the weekend and was rushed to the hospital, where she remained to this date, it has been confirmed.

Winehouse has been on the island for many months now, as this has been her place of choice to battle a lasting drug addiction that got her name in newspapers all over the world. However, speculation has it that the talented singer might have just replaced an addiction for a much older one, namely switched from drugs to alcohol, despite the repeated denials of the spokesperson.

Rushed in a “shaking mess,” Amy was supposedly offered first assistance and is now doing better, waiting to be released from the hospital. “She looked in a terrible state, a shaking mess. The people with her were very concerned.” one source told the British The Sun. The singer’s rep, though, was adamant that Amy had just a minor collapse brought on by her running out of the drug-replacement pill she was using to help her fight off her addiction. He also confirmed that Amy was still in hospital, receiving treatment.

A couple of weeks ago, Amy Winehouse took the first step towards admitting she had a problem and changing her life for the better: she signed over the control of her fortune to her parents, a move that many of her entourage saw coming months ago. Since she relocated to the island of St Lucia, Amy is said to have managed to stay clean of drugs, even with the occasional alcohol binge that got her on the first page of the tabloids every now and then.

“Everyone is pleased because it means Amy is listening to good advice. It’s still her money and nobody else can touch it. But this stops her doing anything stupid. And it is evidence that Amy is really turning her life around.” an unnamed source revealed for the British media at the time Amy signed the papers putting her parents in control over her fortune, estimated at £15 million.
