Amy Winehouse is in a London clinic, getting herself “baby ready,” report claims

British singer Amy Winehouse has been clean of drugs and (relatively) alcohol-free for months, so she feels the time is right for her to move on to the next stage of her life: motherhood. She is currently at a London clinic precisely for this purpose.

British tabloid The Sun reports that, just recently, Amy threw a party for her goddaughter, singer Dionne Bromfield – shortly afterwards, she checked herself into a clinic, where she’ll stay for about a week.

A source confirms for the publication that the Grammy-winning singer is determined to become a mom – and soon, if she gets her way.

“Amy has checked herself in. She wants to get herself ‘baby ready’ so she and Reg Traviss can start a family in the not too distant future,” the spy says.

In other words, she’s not there because she’s fallen off the wagon but either to get herself checked out, or to continue staying clean and sober.

In July last year, shortly after Amy and filmmaker Reg went public with their romance, word got out in the British tabs that he was merely using her for publicity, to draw the attention of the media to his work.

“Amy needs to know she is being used by him. We were madly in love and he threw it all away to be with her just because she’s famous,” one of Reg’s exes told the tabloids, as we also informed you at the time.

Back then, Traviss had just released a new film, and the ex’s claims seemed to make sense, especially since Amy too is no stranger to disastrous relationships.

“He’s a fame-hungry cheat and I can never forgive him for doing this. But she should know that since I dumped him he has bombarded me with texts every day asking to see me. I know he will ditch her as soon as he has got the fame he wants,” the scorned former lover also said.

As it turns out, not only did Amy and Reg pass the test of time, but they’re also thinking of taking their relationship one step further, if The Sun report is anything to go by.
