Amy Winehouse's Face Disfigures Other Celebrities

- The singer's skin condition was digitally "transplanted" to various other famous actors or singers

By: Monica Gaza, Entertainment News Editor

If you haven't yet had the misfortune to get your eyes on photos of Amy Winehouse, you can count yourselves lucky. The troubled British diva's chaotic lifestyle and continued drug abuse have caused her face to look like it's just been carved out from a posted advertising a really bad horror movie. The singer's cheeks
are scabbed and spotty, with a few larger and more visible lesions on one cheek, which her representative attributed to a highly contagious skin disease named impetigo. Skin condition or not, Wino definitely looks worse for wear these days, so much so in fact that a bunch of creative people from worth1000 decided to "transfer" her disheveled appearance onto other celebrity faces and examine the audience's reactions to the eerie results.

Famed for her in-your-face attitude of stubborn refusal to get help (immortalized in the world-famous "no, no, no" to rehab), Winehouse also refused to stay at home and look after her face – while also possibly cutting down on the drug intake. She desperately tried to hide the damage to her face under a heavy coat of make-up, and refused to give up her trademark black eyeliner – with disastrous consequences on her bedraggled looks. However, if you find Amy scary, have a look at how other well-known faces were to look, if subjected to the same amount of skin damage. Among the digitally scabbed victims of Amy's spots and scabs are Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue and Cameron Diaz, alongside Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. And no, it's definitely not a sight for sore eyes – pun intended.

However, this "transplant Amy's skin onto other good-looking celebs and watch the fans throw up in disgust" strategy is not aimed to be entertaining as much as a warning, first of all for Amy herself. The singer needs to address her condition seriously, drop the public appearances and the skin-clogging make-up and regain her trademark exotic look. Many voices have claimed that, ultimately, the damage to Amy's face is caused by her relentless drug abuse. Despite countless attempts to enter rehab and get herself clean, the longest interval the singer managed to stay clean were the two weeks prior to her Grammy appearance, when she was trying to kick off drugs in order to gain access to the States.
