Amy Poehler is just one on the long list of celebrities speaking out on the topic of the Boston Marathon bombings and the subsequent brutal events. Above is her message to Boston and, at the same time, to the world at large.

It is actually the most recent webisode of “Ask Amy,” which sees her answer questions from her fans. This one had to do with the amount of graphic photos and videos circulating online, all of which end up desensitizing us.

She links that to the pics in the aftermath of the bombed attacks.

“I’ve been looking at photographs that have been really hard to take. And I’ve been thinking about what these images do to our brain and to our heart. … I wonder if we could soften our hearts and minds and our eyes?” she says.

“If we could give our eyes a break and see things in a different way? To see things by reading about them or talking about them or listening? Be okay with letting some things rest in peace,” she adds.

She ends the video with the message, “I love you, Boston.”
