Thechineseroom and Frictional Games announce that Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is now set to be launched during the second quarter of the year, with an actual date, a price and a set of system requirements set to be revealed soon.

The official update states, “But don’t get too excited just yet. Some work is still left to be done. We are testing, tweaking, optimizing, porting, translating and all those things that are part of the process of creating and releasing a game.”

A Machine for Pigs was initially set to be a small experimental title linked to the Amnesia game universe, but since then the development team expanded its scope.

The game is an indirect sequel to Amnesia: The Dark Descent, blending adventure and horror mechanics.

Oswald Mandus, an industrialist, is the main character and the title will feature a number of storylines that link to each other.
