Amy Winehouse May Be Possessed by the Devil

Drug addiction and alcohol abuse are serious problems in their own right, but notoriously troubled British jazz diva Amy Winehouse may have an even more serious... and other-worldly issue on her hands. A famous American reverend and self-proclaimed exorcist by the name of Bob Larson, also known as "the real exorcist", has gone public saying that Winehouse is in fact possessed by the devil. Larson, who is said to have conducted over 10,000 exorcisms in a time span of 30 years, is about to star in a reality TV series in Britain, and before his arrival, he has volunteered to save Amy's soul by "ridding her of the devil".

Larson is the leader of an American organization called "Spiritual Freedom Church", which claims to be performing no less than 1000 worldwide exorcisms every week. Moreover, Larson's church claims to take a hands-on approach to fighting all forms of evil, including demonic possession all over the world. "We don’t talk about what Jesus did – we do it!", their website claims. Coincidence or not, Larson is about to star in a Virgin 1 TV series called "The Real Exorcist" - and what better way of making a grand entrance than reaching out to Britain's number one trouble-making tabloid sweetheart, Amy Winehouse.

"Amy Winehouse is in my opinion possessed. She is obviously suffering from drug addictions and other problems but the likelihood is that is not all. People are more susceptible to being possessed when they have bruised souls and I think Amy is a classic example", the reverend stated in an interview with the Daily Star. "People in show-business are extravagant – we know that. But when they become completely self-destructive it is contradictory to what they should be doing with their talent. When this happens you have to ask whether it is the devil’s work. After all, that is what the devil sets out to do – destroy", he added. Larson also expressed his interest in meeting Winehouse face to face, in order to be able to reach a full diagnosis.

The evil-fighting reverend also believes that Britney Spears is yet another classic case of demonic possession. "Britney is another classic example. She obviously has multiple personalities which is another tell-tale sign", he stated. Oh, if only the army of psychiatrists in charge of the erratic Brit Brit had known all this. He hasn't mentioned what would happen to Amy after an exorcism would be performed on her. Will she go back to being a beehive-free quiet little schoolgirl with the throaty voice and no crack-addicted husband? It remains to be seen. In the meantime, good luck to the reverend in locating Amy. There are a lot of pubs, clubs and bars in London where her demons could hide, you know...
