American McGee, the developer of Akaneiro: Demon Hunters, has issued a plea for all available Linux fans who want to test his new game.

Akaneiro: Demon Hunters was successfully funded through Kickstarter a while ago, but now the developer needs people to iron out the bugs for the Linux version.

“The time has come(ing) for us to begin our Linux beta test. The team tells me we will have a build ready mid-to-late next week. And so, I stand before you, completely ignorant of the need of Linux users (American is the Linux guy) to ask you to contact me if you're interested in working with us as a beta tester,” said American McGee in the official announcement on Kickstarter.

The supported distributions will be Ubuntu 12.10, Ubuntu 12.04, openSUSE 12.3, 12.2, and 12.1, and Fedora 17 and 18.

The game was made available for the Windows and Mac OS platforms in January 2013, but the Linux platform hasn’t received a firm date yet.
