14 DAY TRIAL // Most people who come to the American Idol auditions do so because they want to get a better shot at becoming recording artists and they believe AI is the perfect launching pad for them. For Jenni Schick, that was only part of the reason.

The 24-year-old blonde music teacher, who described herself as energetic to the point of annoying, told the camera that she always wanted to sing.
Then, talking to host Ryan Seacrest, she also revealed that she was also at the auditions (held in Aspen) because she wanted to meet rocker Steven Tyler.
He, she said, was one of the three celebrities she was allowed to kiss without her boyfriend considering it cheating. Lady Gaga and Adam Levine were the other two.
Her boyfriend's list, on the other hand, included Gaga and Levine as well, but also Ryan himself – who delicately refused to give Jenni a peck on the cheek when she asked him for one for her boyfriend at home.
The moment she stepped into the auditions room, Tyler told the other two judges, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson, that he was going to “take this one.”
Jenni sang Pat Benatar's “Heartbreaker” and, contrary to what might have thought of her because of her apparently ditzy behavior, she actually rocked.
JLo praised her energy, while Randy had only kind words to say about the very personal note she added to the song. Steven was equally impressed.
After Jenni was told she was going to Hollywood, she also got to kiss Steven, who planted one smack on her lips.
“Boy, am I gonna get in trouble for this,” he whispered to Jennifer after Jenni left the room in a frenzy, screaming for joy.
Towards the end of the video, Jenni tells the camera that Steven's lips were soft and “so voluptuous,” perhaps in a message to all those other women out there whose dream is to smooch the rock legend.
