14 DAY TRIAL // One month ago, rapper Lil Wayne came under serious fire after a video emerged online, showing him stomping – more or less knowingly – on the American flag, while shooting the video for “God Bless Amerika,” his new single.
As it turns out, that particular scene was cut out of the final version of the video.
The official music vid has been released and, as always, you can see it above in full. *Please note that discretion is recommended because of language that might offend.
Whether Lil Wayne realized that he had stomped on the American flag or not, we might never know, but the final version of the clip confirms that someone must have seen it – and immediately realized the kind of controversy it could stir.
So they played it safe, editing the footage in such a way as to never see the flag actually on the ground.
