Ambrosia Software Inc. has updated three of its Mac productivity apps to add compatibility with the upcoming Mac OS X Leopard version (10.5.7), but also to include various enhancements and bug fixes, as well as to increase functionality with Apple's latest hardware changes.

Ambrosia's WireTap Studio, WireTap Anywhere and Snapz Pro X are three utility apps that offer various forms of audio and video recording, featuring the most complete array of options. Using WireTap Studio, Mac owners can record the discrete audio output of any application, as well as all system audio, or record audio input from any microphone, line-in, or audio input hardware. With WireTap Anywhere, users are offered a suite of components that let them take the audio output from any Mac application or hardware input device and bring it into their favorite audio recording application.

As for Snapz Pro X, Ambrosia's highly efficient recording app allows users to record virtually anything on their screen, saving it as a QuickTime movie or screenshot. Refer to the list below for a quick look at the latest changes with your Ambrosia applications.

WireTap Anywhere 1.0.4 · Includes latest version of Ambrosia Audio Support kernel extension that fixes compatibility with OS X 10.5.7 when USB devices are plugged in. · No longer prevents applications from generating a crash report.

Snapz Pro X 2.1.4 · Added a "Save Later" button to the movie conversion dialog. · Rebooting between movie capture and conversion no longer trashes the capture file. · Display a very rough approximation of the output size of each track. · Display a warning if the estimated movie size is greater than the available disk space. · Raw capture are stored in ~/Library/Caches/Snapz Pro X, and can be copied or moved to other computers running the same version of Snapz. · Long captures no longer fail during audio conversion, but the audio track is limited to 6.6 hours. · Updates AmbrosiaAudioSupport.kext to 2.3.10, which fixes incompatibility with System 10.5.7.

WireTap Studio requires Mac OS X 10.4, and QuickTime 7.0, while WireTap Anywhere requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher. SnapzPro X is handled by Mac OS X versions as low as 10.3.9.
