14 DAY TRIAL // The Amber Rose – Wiz Khalifa divorce is about to get very nasty, with the model already breaking her silence to set the record straight on all those rumors making the rounds now, saying she cheated on him with her new manager Nick Cannon.
Rose, a famous glamor girl, model, and video vixen who previously dated rapper Kanye West, started dating Wiz in 2011 and married him in 2013. They have one son together, Sebastian, and before Monday’s filing for divorce, they showed no sign of marital trouble.
Several days later and we’re already seeing countless cheating rumors involving both, as well as the promise that the split will turn nasty very soon.
He says, she says
Shortly after the filing, word got out that both Wiz and Amber were telling close friends that they suspected each other of infidelity: Amber thought Wiz would not let her accompany him on tour because he wanted to sleep with groupies, while he suspected she was having an affair with her new manager Nick Cannon, who recently split from his wife Mariah Carey.
Reports also claimed that Amber was very furious when Wiz told her in no uncertain terms that she was “supposed” to stay at home with their son, because he was the breadwinner in the house and he needed to be “left alone” to be able to make money.
As allegations from all sides increased in number, Amber took to her Twitter feed to set the record straight: he cheated, she didn’t – and she wants the world to take her word for it.

“Please stop with the fake stories,” Amber says, addressing reports she stepped out on her man. “I would never ever ever cheat on my husband in a million years I think u guys know this..... Unfortunately my now ex husband can't say the same…. I'm devastated and crushed but my main focus is Sebastian. Thank u for all the support in this difficult time.”
She doesn’t say more, but it sounds as if she plans this to be her only statement on the divorce or, in any case, this is the celebrity MO in such situations.
Whether Amber will address the rumors again or not, we should probably expect Wiz to do it, especially considering that she’s not exactly mincing her words when she speaks of his infidelity. He’ll probably issue some form of statement to clear his name – but only time will tell if he will choose to drag his soon-to-be-ex through the mud as well.
Yet another apparently fairytale romance bites the dust
Amber and Wiz aren’t the first celebrities to get a divorce and they’re definitely not the first couple to have their split play out in the tabloids with all the nasty details leading up to it. Even so, the announcement that she filed the papers after just one year was still perceived as a shocking one, because there had been absolutely no indication of problems.
Their most recent red carpet appearance was at the end of August, when they attended the MTV Video Music Awards 2014, and besides wearing a dress made entirely out of chains, Amber also made headlines for putting on a PDA for the cameras with Wiz.
Fans had come to expect both of these from her, so seeing her and Wiz kiss and look utterly in love made them think – rightfully so – that they were still in the puppy love stage of the romance. As it turns out, there is always more to things than meets the eye.
