14 DAY TRIAL // Johnny Depp has been busily promoting his new movie, “Transcendence,” in various interviews and, as expected, he’s also been talking about the new lady of the manor, his fiancée Amber Heard. He confirmed the engagement, showed off his “chick’s ring” and, most recently, denied a report that they were expecting already.
Asked by Savannah Guthrie on The Today Show if the reason why they were in such a hurry to tie the knot was because Amber was carrying their first child together, Johnny strongly denied it. He even seemed appalled by the idea, saying something along the lines of “Good God, no, what do you think I am? A savage?”
Well, if this is Depp’s definition of “savage,” a savage he is, says actor Mark Wystrach, who is one of Amber’s ex-boyfriends. Mark tells InTouch that he knows for a fact that she is carrying Depp’s child and that this is why they’re getting married.
Whether you believe him is, of course, entirely your choice.
“She's pregnant already! I saw her three weeks ago. Amber and I dated years ago but we are still close,” he tells the publication.
As it turns out, just the other day, Johnny was saying in another interview that he’d love it if he could have more children. He and ex-partner Vanessa Paradis are parents to Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, who is 11 and was famously named after Jack the Ripper.
“I love kids. I have two, and they're perfect,” Depp gushed to Extra. “Man, I'd make 100. But I've got the easy gig, right?”
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard met on the set of “The Rum Diary” and, word on the street has it, they embarked on a romance while the production was still underway. At the time, he was still with Vanessa, while Amber was in a longtime relationship with a female music composer.
They tried to keep the affair out of the pages of the tabloids, with very little success. Then, they called time off for a while, presumably because Amber had been freaked out at being portrayed as “the other woman” in the press.
When they did reconcile, things evolved very quickly and, in a few months’ time, she was photographed for the first time wearing a giant diamond ring on her engagement finger. However, it’s just recently that they have made the relationship official, with Depp showing up on the red carpet by her side, at the premiere of her movie.
