Amber Heard is featured on the June/July edition of W Magazine and, apart from the racy photoshoot, the actress also dishes some interesting facts about her career, her life, her temper and her mediated relationship with veteran actor Johnny Depp.

The actress looks almost unrecognizable in her racy black lingerie she's sporting for her photo spread, but it's more interesting to hear her talk about her life in general in the interview accompanying the photos.

The cover calls Amber a “triple threat: actress, model and the future Mrs. Johnny Depp,” but she would like to cut your enthusiasm right from the beginning of her interview: “I haven’t noticed any change in my career. And, for better or worse, I’ve always had a love life that seemed particularly salacious to some people.”

She's referring to the fact that she's been with both men and women and is open about it with the press. In previous interviews she admitted that she enjoyed having relations with both men and women but that she didn't want to be pigeonholed by the press into a certain standard.

She has spoken about her previous relationship with photographer Tasya van Ree, with whom she had an affair from 2008 until 2012, and she has claimed that she has never tried to hide anything from her life, because she has never felt ashamed about who she is and what she does.

The actress has also addressed the issue of her overall image, claiming that her Texas upbringing has made her seem a lot tougher than she actually is in real life. “Whenever my old friends meet someone I’m involved with romantically, they immediately warn them, ‘She may look refined, but when she’s angry, she can go trailer park really fast,’” the actress jokes.

That being said, Amber quite likes the tough image she's being projected with, because, in her own words, “I'd always rather be passionate than bland. I can't imagine living a quiet life.” It's exactly that type of attitude that has caused Johnny Depp to take a liking to her when they were on the set of the film “The Rum Diaries.” In fact, “liking” might be too bland a word in Johnny's case.

The same fear of being cast into a definite category follows Amber when it comes to her roles. She hates what the industry calls “type casting” and she aims to be as original as she can.

Oh, and down praise her good looks either, Amber is aware of those but doesn't take credit for them, so she doesn't consider them an asset. “And besides in L.A. there's always someone more beautiful!” she quips.
