The gold-placated HTC One max has been introduced earlier this month. Only five units of the handset were manufactured and those who wanted to own one had to come up with no less than $2,500 (€1825) outright.

However, those who can't afford to pay such a ridiculous amount of money for a smartphone will be pleased to know HTC has just released a gold version of the One max, which is not covered in gold at all.

GSMArena reports the smartphone is made of gold colored aluminum and comes with the same features as the regular HTC One max that's been available on the market.

For the time being, the gold HTC One max is only available in Taiwan, but we suspect the handset maker has plans to bring the new color option in other countries as well. Stay tuned for more updates on this one.
