After releasing Firmware 5.4.5 for Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 2nd Generation, the producer has just rolled out a new firmware build targeted at its 2nd generation Kindle Fire tablet, namely version 10.5.0.

This update includes support for Prime Music, which allows users to listen to numerous songs and albums, and provides ad-free access to various playlists. However, this feature can only be used if you have an active Amazon Prime account.

In addition to that, version 10.5.0 adds some improvements to the email application so that you can stay in touch with others more easily.

Specifically speaking, the Full Screen button has been removed from the menu and included into the header. Also, a new refresh option has been added and can be accessed either through the Menu button or by pulling down and releasing the top of the folder.

Bear in mind that, by upgrading to this release, the Gmail authentication system will be updated to OAuth 2.0, which delivers a greater security level. However, you will have to reconfigure the account after applying the new firmware.

Therefore, if you intend on installing this version, download Amazon Kindle Fire 2nd Generation Firmware 10.5.0, copy and apply it to the device, re-configure your Gmail account, and enjoy your newly-improved tablet.
