Amazon.com has migrated from Internet retailer into PR agent as it has become the most comprehensive news source regarding Microsoft's Windows Vista and Office 2007. And while the Redmond
Company has taken no official action, either to confirm or deny the release dates posted by Amazon.com for its products, the Internet retailer has revealed on its web site that it is accepting pre-orders for both the operating system and the Office 2007 suite.
Pricing details for the Office 2007 suite have been announced since February, but Microsoft has exhibited reluctance in confirming a definitive release date, as its launching plans are adapted to suit the shipping of Windows Vista. But according to Amazon.com, Office 2007 will be available to the general public starting with January 30, 2007. Coincidentally, Amazon.com has confirmed the same release date for Windows Vista.
Via Amazon.com, Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 will cost $149, Microsoft Office Professional 2007 - $499, Microsoft Office 2007 - $399, Microsoft Word 2007 - $229 and Microsoft Office Small Business 2007 - $449.
