Today, Amazon has outed new firmware packages targeted at some of its Kindle Fire devices, namely versions 11.3.2.2, 13.3.2.2, and 14.3.2.2 developed for the Kindle Fire HD 2nd Generation, HDX, and HDX 8.9 units.

As the producer highlights, these newly released updates include general improvements, as well as various performance enhancements. However, you can update your tablet in order to find out what the changes really are.

In order to do that, first check to see whether your tablet’s currently installed version is either newer or matches the present release; therefore, go to Quick Settings → Settings → Device → System Updates, and make sure the build number displays previous version.

If checked, download the proper package for your Kindle Fire, connect the device to the computer through a USB cable, copy the .bin file into the root folder of the tablet’s internal storage, disconnect the device after the firmware has successfully transferred.

Now go to Quick Settings → Settings → Device → System Updates, and tap “Update.” The Kindle will reboot and start the installation process so make sure you don’t interrupt it.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your Amazon tablet, download the new version, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects and apply the firmware, and enjoy your newly updated Kindle Fire tablet.
