Once again Amazon UK has changed the release date of the upcoming Galaxy Nexus smartphone, as well as the price tag. The retailer states that the superphone is due to be released on December 2 and is priced at £519.99 (835 USD or 606 EUR) SIM free.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus was previously listed by Amazon UK for a November 2 release with a price tag of £730.15 ($1,167 or 838 EUR) attached to it.

Initially, the device was listed as being sold by KingOfGadgets retailer, but it looks like the Galaxy Nexus will now be dispatched from and sold by Amazon UK.

Although Google already confirmed that the Galaxy Nexus will be officially released in the UK on November 17, it appears that customers who pre-ordered the smartphone via Amazon UK will have to wait a bit longer to receive their devices.

The reasons behind the delay of the SIM free Galaxy Nexus are unclear, but expect more delays, as the retailer mentions that the smartphone's release date is subject to change.

On related news, the Galaxy Nexus will make its debut in the United States on November 21 via Verizon Wireless.

The first device with Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, Samsung Galaxy Nexus comes with an updated user interface and brand new features.

The Galaxy Nexus is where the groundbreaking hardware of Samsung and the immensely popular software of Google culminate in a mobile that blows all others out of the water in terms of innovation, usability, performance and design,” Samsung claims.

Aside the new Android 4.0 platform, other highlights of the Galaxy Nexus include: a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display, NFC support, an 1.2 GHz dual core processor and LTE support.
