That $6,000 (4,694 EUR) price tag doesn’t seem to scare anyone

You would think that a DSLR that retails for $6,000 (about 4,694 EUR) would be a tough buy for many, but this doesn’t seem to be the case with the Nikon D4 as Amazon has reached its pre-order quaota in less than an hour after listing it in its store.

We don’t know how many D4’s were available when Amazon listed it, but if you haven’t pre-ordered yours there’s no telling on when these will be available again.

I personally didn’t expect for Amazon to reach its D4 quota as fast as it did, but I guess that the full-frame 16.2MP sensor, 1080p 30fps video recording and the new 91,000 pixel RGB 3D Color Matrix Meter III sensor proved to be too much of a temptation for some.

We’ll keep an eye on Amazon to see if the Nikon D4 is listed for pre-order again, so make sure to check back with Softpedia News regularly.
