Amazon has released new firmware packages targeted at some of its Kindle HD and HDX tablets, namely versions 11.3.2.3.2, 13.3.2.3.2, and 14.3.2.3.2 compatible with the Kindle Fire HD 2nd Generation, Kindle Fire HDX, and HDX 8.9" devices, respectively.

When it comes to changes, the producer only highlights that the new versions include general improvements, as well as performance enhancements compared to their previous releases. If you want to discover the changes on your own, simply apply the update, and compare the two versions.

To do so, first verify the tablet’s currently installed firmware by going to Quick Settings → Settings → Device → System Updates, and see if it isn’t either newer or matching its latest version. If it is, the device is already up to date; but if, not make sure to follow the following steps.

Therefore, get the appropriate downloadable firmware for your Kindle model, turn on the device and connect it to the computer using a USB cable, and copy the .bin file to the root directory of the device’s internal storage.

After the update has transferred successfully, remove the USB cable, and go to Quick Settings → Settings → Device → System Updates → Update. At this point, the Kindle will restart and then display an “Installing system update” message so make sure you don’t interrupt the process.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your Amazon tablet, follow the aforementioned aspects, apply the new firmware, and constantly check with our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
