New features for students (flashcards), multiple improvements based on feedback

Amazon will definitely score some points with the man upstairs thanks to Kindle 4.1, the latest update it has dropped in the iTunes App Store for iPhone and iPad customers.

According to the American online retailer that holds an e-book library the size of a gas giant, “Kindle for iOS Version 4.1 brings new features to students (flashcards), multiple improvements to the reading experience based on customer feedback, and stability & performance improvements.”

The flagship feature in this update is obviously Flashcards, which allows students to convert terms into flashcard sets. These can stem from the X-Ray for Textbooks feature, or simple notes and highlights.

“Students can keep track of concepts or terms that have been mastered and those that need more practice, allowing them to improve their recall of the subject,” according to Amazon.
