The company applied the same strategy to the all-new Kindle Fire HDX

Back in December, we told you that Amazon was offering installment plans for its Kindle Fire HDX tablets. That meant that customers looking to buy one of the company’s newest slates could pay for it in four equal steps.

Now Amazon has come up with a way of pushing more Kindle devices to willing customers. So, you don’t have $139 / €100 lying around for a 7-inch Kindle Fire HD tablet or $69 / €49 to pay for a basic Kindle eReader (via RetailWire).

Don’t worry, Amazon has your back. From now on, the retail giant will let you pay for the devices in five monthly installments. And all is interest-free.

The trick is that you pay 20% of the device price at purchase and then you’re left with making four more equal payments every thirty days, using your credit card.

That means that you’ll be paying $27.80 / €20 for the 7-inch tablet and $13.80 / €10 for the Kindle. At the moment, only the two devices are eligible with a limit of one device per customer, but Amazon might be adding more options, if the program proves to be successful.

Amazon constantly seems to be coming up with ideas as to increase the adoption of its Kindle products. For example, shortly after the company launched the Kindle Fire HDX, the tablet was offered for a free 30-day trail to select costumers.
