Have an old eReader lying around the house? Amazon is now inviting you to bring in the old model and in return, the retail giant will trade you a $20 / €14 bonus to be used in the purchase of a new basic Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite or Kindle Paperwhite 3G.

But here’s the catch, Amazon is happy to take in not only old and used Kindle eBook readers, but also similar offerings coming from Barnes & Nobles (Nooks), Kobo or Sony.

On top of that, you’ll be getting a separate $20 / €14 Amazon gift card that can be used for the purchase of other products coming from Amazon. And in case you want to buy a new Kindle, you’ll be granted the $20 / €14 bonus credit as well.

Not all eReaders are eligible for the trade-in and you’ll need to check the list bellow to see if your device is to be found there.
