A retail listing on the German language site of Internet giant Amazon has unveiled the existence of the 4 GB hard drive version of the Xbox 360 Arcade System Bundle. This is the first time a retailer has offered information on a new gaming console from Microsoft that bears the Arcade name after the manufacturer unveiled the new Xbox 360 form factor at the E3 trade show.

During its press presentation Microsoft unveiled a new, better looking console, announcing that it will shortly be available in stores all over the world. The new Xbox 360, which some have dubbed the Slim, has a 250 GB hard drive capacity, a new 45 nm chipset providing the power and an integrated N-wireless chop that offers the connectivity options. The new console is also much quieter than the previous model and Microsoft is saying that Red Ring of Death issues should be a thing of the past. The new model costs 300 dollars and is competing directly with the PlayStation 3 from Sony, a console that also got a makeover in August 2009.

After the announcement was made Microsoft representatives have stated that they also plan to launch a new entry level console, costing around 200 dollars, that can successfully compete with the Nintendo Wii. A month has passed and the listing on Amazon Germany is the only actual sign we have seen that this new Arcade system is real.

Some users might be disappointed by the small hard drive size of the new model. Microsoft is releasing more titles on the XBLA and the Games on Demand service is getting crowded by the week, meaning that hard drive space is one of the biggest restrictions for the number of video games a user can experience at the same time. Microsoft has not yet offered any official reaction linked to the new Arcade Xbox 360 console.
