If you’ve hit a roadblock trying to guess what your kid wants for Christmas, why don’t you get the Amazon Santa app on your iPad and let him / her make the pick using the visual Wish List creation feature. If the latest surveys are any indication, chances are your kids will pick out an iOS device as well.
But with more than 500,000 family-friendly toys, games, books, music, video games, movies and TV shows to choose from, it’ll be hard not to make an entire list of items.
“With the tap of a finger, kids and their parents can explore by product category or type a search to find the perfect gift and instantly create a Wish List,” says Amazon. “Parents can review and edit the Wish List as needed, and easily share each child’s list with grandparents, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, and family friends.”
Only family and friends can view the Wish Lists shared via the Amazon Santa app by receiving a Wish List link.
Recipients are shown wished-for items, helping to eliminate duplicate gifts, including those that have already been purchased.
Commenting on the release of their new app, Sam Hall, director of Amazon Mobile, remarked: “Sometimes Santa can use help sorting out what gifts to give everyone and this new app makes it easy and fun for kids to create their perfect Wish List.”
“We’ve selected more than five-hundred thousand of the hottest kid-friendly holiday gifts and made it fun, easy and intuitive for kids to find exactly what they want. The Amazon Santa app is also a great way for parents to spend some quality time with their kids and help make certain there’s a smile Christmas morning,” added Hall.
Amazon Santa is only compatible with iPad on the iOS front. It requires iOS 4.2 or later. Naturally, Amazon also released a version for their Kindle Fire tablet that runs the Android mobile OS.
