The Amazon Kindle Fire tablet has been breaking the sales figures ever since it was launched, back on November 15, but it didn't get to all regions of the world, though the UK may get it at last.

The Amazon Kindle Fire tablet has not yet reached the United Kingdom, and Amazon didn't actually say when, if ever, it was going to.

Not that it was hard to guess that the popular device would eventually reach the country.

After all, it would not have made much sense for the rest of the world to receive it and not UK.

Nonetheless, Amazon refused to say when it would finish the formalities, leaving little room for the hope that it would be in time for the holidays.

The folks over at Know Your Mobile claim to have uncovered when the release will take place.

Unfortunately, it is not as soon as some may like, as the item, provided the report is valid, really won't be in time for the winter holidays.

Instead, it will only start selling in January, 2012 (next month), at an unspecified price.

In the US, the 7-inch Android tablet has a price of $199.99, or about 149 Euro.

That would imply that the UK price be £128.18 (pounds), but the exchange rates aren't usually reflected in actual prices.

Because of shipping costs and other taxes, UK prices for electronics often end up higher than conversion rates would suggest.

Nevertheless, Amazon's invention will still be much more affordable than the Apple iPad and more or less every other tablet out there, regardless of the OS used.

Among the very few other slates cheaper than this one are the Aaakash Indian tablet for education ($35) and the sub-$100 MIPS model (Has ice Cream Sandwich).

Ge here to see what the Amazon Kindle Fire, 7-inch Android tablet has to offer, hardware and software-wise.
