Amazon India is doing the same with the two Kindle Fire HD models that are available in the country for purchase.
So the Kindle Fire HD 7-inch is up for grabs for Rs 11, 999 / $192 / €142 (down from the previous Rs. 15,999 / $256 / €189) while the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 can be purchased for Rs. 17.999 / $288 / €213 (from the previous Rs. 21.999 / $352 / €260).
Interestingly enough, if you browse the “Perfect Gift for the Perfect One” category on the Indian website, you noticed the Kindles are recommended gifts for children, which means Amazon is trying to increase the interest of young users for its Kindle tablet family.
