After releasing T-Mobile's G2X a few hours earlier than the official launch, Amazon.com has done it again with the G-Slate tablet.

The first 3D Android tablet to be available on the market, T-Mobile's G-Slate is now up for purchase from the major retailer for $799.99.

The device is in stock and eligible for free shipping for customers living in the States. The sales package also includes special 3D glasses that allows users to watch 3D content on the tablet.

This is one of the 'drawbacks' of the G-Slate, which, unlike the Optimus 3D, requires users to wear 3D glasses to enjoy the full experience of this feature.

Furthermore, G-Slate can also be purchased directly from T-Mobile for as low as $529.99 with a new two-year agreement and after a $100 mail in rebate.

The tablet has no GSM voice communication capabilities; instead, it features support for T-Mobile's 4G LTE network, though it is limited to only 10.2 Mbps data speeds.

We are excited to introduce the T-Mobile G-Slate by LG, which offers consumers an engaging new way to communicate, entertain and stay connected,” said Tim O’Brien, vice president of marketing for LG Mobile Phones.

Bringing consumers the latest in revolutionary HD tablet technology and an Android platform perfectly optimized for tablet use, G-Slate provides a unique multimedia experience.”

The sleek G-Slate features a rear-facing stereoscopic video recorder with 1080p for HD video capture and a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash.

In addition, thanks to the front-facing camera, users will be able to make video calls over T-Mobile’s network or Wi-Fi with Google Talk.

The 3D tablet supports 720p HD on-device video playback and HDMI output to show 1080p content on 3D and HD displays.

Under the device's hood there's a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, as well 32GB of internal memory.

T-Mobile G-Slate runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb and has full support for Adobe Flash Player.
